President's Message
Hi, I'm Chou Ching, president of the Taiwan Trail Running Association.
Since Taiwan lifted many forest access restrictions, outdoor sports have flourished.
My dream is simple to build an international race in Yangmingshan as iconic as the HK100 or Mt. Fuji trail. Let's create a trail that represents Taiwan on the world stage.

Hosting a UTMB-level event in Yangmingshan benefits more than just runners.
It can empower the entire outdoor sports ecosystem in Taiwan.
📊 Vision 2: Balance Northern & Southern Growth
About 80% of Taiwan's trail runners are in the north. We believe branding and events should be focused in the north, while southern Taiwan must nurture grassroots clubs and teams. When the foundation thrives, the whole industry grows.
We believe Fast Hiking is the future of outdoor sports. TTRA is not just an event organizer, but a self-sustaining and impactful force in the trail running world. Though early challenges exist, we'll keep improving and pushing forward. Walk steady, go far. Let's build Taiwan's trail future together!
