Race Story
Event & Course Overview
Between Shilin and Neihu lies a history shaped by stone and livelihood. The rock and earth that once helped build Taipei came from these mountains. From the Qing-era name Bazhilan to modern-day Shilin, the course follows forested ridgelines and historic quarry paths, retracing marks left by time. By day, sweeping mountains meet the city skyline; toward evening, the landscape is layered in light and afterglow. Step by step, this trail invites you to rediscover Taipei.

Important Notice
Important Information
1. Wave Starts & Safety Declaration
Wave Starts
Because the course is narrow and includes steep sections, wave starts will be used to reduce crowding-related incidents.
All entrants must start within the assigned time for their category. Those starting early or late will be recorded as Did Not Finish, will not be ranked and will not receive a result certificate, but may still receive a finisher medal and event gifts.
Personal Health Assessment
This is a demanding course. Entrants must assess their own health and fitness before participating.
If you feel unwell during the race, stop and rest immediately, and notify a race official or volunteer for assistance.
Risk & Liability Disclaimer
By registering, participants acknowledge that the organizer accepts no liability or legal responsibility for accidents, injury or death resulting from personal illness, physical condition, violation of the rules or failure to follow race officials' instructions.
Insurance
The organizer provides travel accident insurance for all participants, with accidental injury coverage of NT$1,000,000.
Symptoms arising from an insured person's pre-existing or personal illness are not covered.
Detailed coverage and claim terms are governed by the insurer's policy. Participants requiring additional coverage should arrange it independently.
Weather & Force Majeure
The event will proceed in rain.
If a sea or land typhoon warning is issued, or another natural disaster occurs, the organizer may cancel or postpone the event, modify the course or end the race early to protect participant safety.
2. Course Rules & Timing-Chip Management
Timing Chips & Results
Exchanging timing chips, carrying another person's chip or carrying multiple chips is prohibited. Race officials may remove the chips and disqualify any offender.
For safety reasons, anyone who has not started within 20 minutes of the official start may be prevented from starting and will not receive an official result.
Participants are responsible for missing results caused by a lost timing chip or failure to pass an intermediate timing point.
Course Turnaround Points
Participants must register a timing-chip reading at each turnaround point. Anyone without a reading or valid proof of passage will be treated as withdrawn and will not receive a result.
Race Bib Requirements
Race bibs must remain intact and clearly visible. If a bib cannot be identified, race officials may prevent the runner from entering the final 30 metres of the course.
Officials & Fair Competition
Participants must not obstruct other runners or disregard race officials' directions. Officials may disqualify anyone who violates this rule.
Receiving outside assistance to gain an advantage, including transport, pushing or physical support, is strictly prohibited. Any offender will have their result annulled, be banned for one year and have their name published on the official website.
Identity & Eligibility
The registered category must match the entrant's identification details. Substitution, running under another person's name and entry transfer are prohibited and will result in disqualification.
3. Other Important Information
Image & Promotional Use
By participating, entrants consent to the organizer photographing and filming them and publicly using relevant images, videos and information for promotional purposes. Do not register if you do not agree.
Health Restrictions
People with cardiovascular disease, diabetes or any other condition incompatible with prolonged strenuous exercise must not participate. Anyone concealing a medical condition assumes responsibility for the consequences of any resulting incident.
Race Information Updates
Any changes to these regulations will be announced through the official Taiwan Trail Running Association social-media page. Please follow the page for important updates.
Race Result Calculation
Final rankings are based on the official race results, and the chief referee has final authority over all decisions.
Please read and follow all requirements above. We wish every runner a safe and successful race!
